BASIC DETAILS
The Cruzin Classic hosts teams and fans from across the United States during the week before Christmas. The official hotel for the event is the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina and is located within a short walk of restaurants, shops, the beach, and more.
The competition site is located on the campus of St. Thomas University, which is approximately 30 minutes away. Trip Sports is providing ground transportation to all teams to get to/from the gym and the official hotel. Fans staying at the official hotel are permitted to ride on these buses at no charge.

For hotel accommodations, we recommend you follow our instructions below to book your room at the official hotel. Additional information is provided on how you can get to/from the airport.
Finally, if your team is taking the optional Carnival Cruise, information is provided below on how to book your cruise and obtain ship transfers (to get to the ship and to the airport after the cruise).

HILTON FORT LAUDERDALE MARINA - OFFICIAL HOTEL
Situated on the shimmering blue Intracoastal Waterway, the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is the official hotel for the Cruzin Classic.
The location of the Hilton cannot be beat. Teams and fans alike can walk across the street to the convention center, the site for all of the games.
In addition to the game site being across the street, guests at the Hilton can walk to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, and the beach.
All guest rooms offer WiFi and feature subtle, light decor. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows maximize natural light to complement the rooms’ organic design. For your convenience, the outdoor swimming pool is heated and the fitness center is open 24 hours.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION - GETTING TO THE HOTEL
Most fans will fly into Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) for the Cruzin Classic. Once on the ground, there are several ways to get to the hotel.
- RIDE SHARING – Uber and Lyft are very prevalent and popular in South Florida.
- TAXI – Taxis can be found just outside of each terminal. The short ride to the hotel will cost you approximately $15.
- RENTAL CAR – Almost all major car rental companies are present at FLL. There is a Rental Car Center in the center of the airport. Signs are posted on how to get there, but easiest access is walking from Terminal 1. NOTE: Please remember that when you rent a car and stay at the Hilton (Official Hotel) that there are daily parking fees of $25.
- LIMOUSINE – Rates vary. If you are interested in this option, we would recommend that you speak with the Hilton (Official Hotel) directly for their recommendation on which company to use.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Fort Lauderdale International Airport
Exit airport on US1 North and follow to SE 17th St Causeway. Turn right at 17th St for 1 mile. Immediately past Eisenhower Blvd veer right onto Grande Dr. Proceed 1st stop sign and turn left under the bridge. Arrive at hotel.
From North / West / South
From I-95 take I-595 East for 3 miles to US-1 North. Proceed on US-1 North for 2 miles to SE 17St. Turn right at 17th St for 1 mile. Immediately past Eisenhower Blvd veer right onto Grande Drive. Proceed to 1st Stop sign and turn left under the bridge. Arrive at hotel.
CARNIVAL CRUISE
Participating teams of the Cruzin Classic have an option to take a Carnival cruise to the Bahamas / Caribbean. Fans may also choose to travel with their respective team.
If your team is taking the cruise and you wish to travel with them, we recommend you purchase your cruise ticket(s) through the same agency as the team.
Similar to airline tickets, cruise pricing can fluctuate up or down depending on what sales Carnival is offering. Thus, we advise you to call our agency to get current pricing and for additional information.

SHIP TRANSFERS FOR CARNIVAL CRUISE
You’ve booked your airline flights. You’ve booked your hotel room at the Hilton Lauderdale Marina. You’ve booked your cruise package(s). What are you missing?
YOU NEED SHIP TRANSFERS!
On Dec. 20th, you will need ground transportation to get from the Hilton to the Carnival cruise ship. At the end of your cruise, you will also need transported from the ship to the proper airport.
Trip Sports is offering round-trip ship transfers for fans at the Cruzin Classic.
The cost is $60 round-trip or $30 one-way. You can purchase this transfer via the PayPal button (right).
Trip Sports ship transfers to the cruise port will depart from the Hilton (Offical Hotel) on Dec. 20th. On debarkation day, Dec. 23rd, the Trip Sports transfers will pick up at the ship and drop guests at either Fort Lauderdale International (FLL) or Miami International Airport (MIA).
FYI – Carnival does offer ship transfers at the same rate. If you have a rental car or drive in for the event, there is parking available at the pier at the Port of Miami for a daily fee.

When possible, all fans will travel on the same bus as their respective team. HOWEVER, this is not a guarantee due to size of the team, other bookings, and other factors out of our control.

VISIT LAUDERDALE
It’s always a good time to be in Greater Fort Lauderdale. And the reasons are as abundant as the sun and palm trees. There are more than 300 sunshine-y days a year in this South Florida destination, which gives visitors and locals plenty of opportunity to enjoy nature, boating, diverse neighborhoods, events, attractions, and unique only-here specialness that helps define Greater Fort Lauderdale.
It’s easy to spend a day at the beach, with soft sands, beachfront promenades as well as beachfront shopping and dining. With comfortable year-round temperatures, the Atlantic Ocean is always inviting to SCUBA divers, snorkelers, stand-up paddleboarders, Jet-Skiers, as well as families.
There are also thrills back on land, but it’s not necessarily “dry.” You can get a taste of the craft breweries along the Greater Fort Lauderdale Ale Trail. Enjoy the impressive “wine and dine” scene — a mix of worldly flavors, local favorites and chef-centric genius. The destination also boasts luxury hotels, museums, nightlife, shopping, casinos and family-friendly fun from the Everglades to the arts scene. Days out and about. Nights out on the town. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We recommend all teams and fans to fly into Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL). The reason is the Fort Lauderdale airport is only 4 miles from the hotel. FYI – Miami International Airport (MIA) is about 30 minutes from the hotel and West Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) is about 60 minutes from the hotel. Both of those time estimates are based on no traffic issues on the interstates. Traffic congestion or construction zones can easily happen and make those times a lot longer.
This is a great question and one that deserves attention. Please note that our event offers teams a long date range to choose from. This means that not all teams are traveling on the same dates. Thus, if your coach has not already provided you with the dates, you should contact he/she for the correct dates your team is traveling. Sometimes a coach may say they are not sure because they are waiting on the game schedule to be finalized. If this is the case, all we can say is that we will post game schedule information on our site as soon as possible.
Due to the issues surrounding Covid-19, we do not anticipate any teams participating in the 2021 cruise.
OTHER THAN THE GAMES, most people will find everything they need within walking distance. However, every person(s) is different. For those individuals that like to see everything they can on a trip, such as museums, shopping malls, and tourist attractions, they would most likely be better to rent a car for the duration of their stay or at least a part of it.
The price of the cruise varies based on how many people are staying in your cabin and which type of cabin you choose. A general estimate is $450 per person for a double occupancy cabin. HOWEVER, this is not a guaranteed rate and it can change at a moment’s notice. For this reason, we highly recommend that you call Erin at Spectacular Adventures.
